Following their massive Polymorphism tour run with KARNIVOOL in January, DEAD LETTER CIRCUS & SLEEPMAKESWAVES have teamed up again for a 7-date summer tour this December, with Perth’s VOYAGER opening all shows.
Dead Letter Circus had a massive 2013, with their second album, “The Catalyst Fire” debuting at number 2 on the ARIA charts and triple j feature album of the week, with hits “Lodestar”, “I Am” and “Insider” all becoming live and radio favourites. 2014 so far has been them sell out their Reimagine Acoustic tour and their stunning acoustic and strings ‘Stand Apart’ EP debut at #24 on the ARIA Chart.
Sydney ambient/melodic post-rockers SLEEPMAKESWAVES released their second album ‘Love of Cartography’ in July, debuting at #31 on the ARIA Chart & #2 on the AIR 100% Independent Charts. Lead single ‘Something Like Avalanches’ has found great support at triple j & community radio including FBi, 4zzz, PBS, RRR, and RTR. The tour announcement comes with the news that ‘Love of Cartography’ has been nominated for an AIR Award in 2014.
In June 2014, Voyager released their fifth opus, ‘V’, which received incredible reviews from Metal Hammer, Prog Magazine, Classic Rock Magazine and Revolver Magazine. ‘V’ charted at CMJ US Loud Rock, the band were nominated for a ‘Breakthrough Artist’ award at the 2014 Prog Magazine Music Awards, they’ve sold out shows on their last Australian tour, and showcased at Bigsound 2014 before departing for features spots at ProgPower Europe, Euroblast Germany and several tour dates across the UK.
