They’re the little art rock band who could – and it seems, they are – Geelong-formed The Red Paintings have just announced that Smashing Pumpkins bassist Nicole Fiorentino will be joining the band on US TV, as they premiere their new ‘Wasps’ stage show.

The band will premiere their new lineup on October 7th when they debut the new single ‘Wasps’ live for their first major TV appearance on AXS TV (hosted by Ryan Seacrest’s entertainment channel, reaching 36 million households across the US).

Nicole will play with the band when her schedule permits outside her continued work with Billy Corgan’s Smashing Pumpkins and her own project The Cold and Lovely.

The Red Paintings’ debut album ‘The Revolution Is Never Coming’ is out worldwide October 1st.

Known for their incredible live shows including stage painters and human canvases, the band have kicked off an ambitious 4-part world tour in support of their record. 2013 so far has seen the band tour North America, the UK and Australia twice each, including sold out UK club dates with prog legends The Pineapple Thief & a US tour supporting …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead.

The band will continue with a promotional tour of the US during October, then heading onto a 3-week UK and Europe tour supporting Mindless Self Indulgence in November and December, before returning to the US (and hopefully Australia)in 2014.

As always, the band are on the lookout for painters and human canvases to join them on stage. Submit your works and/or body to artsubmissions@theredpaintings.com
